FyreWrap Cable Insulation Fire Protection System
FyreWrap Cable Insulation
FyreWrap Cable Insulation is a single-layer insulation wrap that is easily deployed around cables or wiring trays & conduits to provide a protective fire-rated enclosure. This product enables controlled shutdown of plant or critical equipment under emergency conditions, such as a fire. The insulation blanket is fiberglass-reinforced scrim coated, encapsulated in foil, and is available in various sizes:
1.5in thickness x (24in or 48in width) x 25ft length
2.0in thickness x (24in or 48in width) x 20ft length
FyreWrap Cable Insulation incorporates Insulfrax high temperature insulation fibers, as its core material. Insulfrax high temperature insulation is recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 2012°F (1100°C), allowing FyreWrap Cable Insulation to provide excellent thermal insulation in a flexible non-combustible blanket form.
FyreWrap Cable Insulation is FM Global Approved and meets ASTM E-1725 "Fire Tests of Fire-Resistive Barrier Systems for Electrical System Components", the newest industry standard, requiring the highest level of performance for trays with zero to full cable loading. The system also meets ASTM E-1529 and provides circuit integrity ratings. FyreWrap complies with many industry specifications on fireproofing for petroleum and petrochemical processing plants.
